Ordering & Booking Policy
Thank you for choosing Southern Sweets! Every dessert is handcrafted with care using quality ingredients and made fresh to order. Please review our ordering policies before placing your order.
Placing Your Order
We recommend placing your order as early as possible to ensure availability.
Suggested ordering timelines:
Cookies, Brownies & Dessert Bars: Minimum 72 hours
Cupcakes: Minimum 72 hours
Pastries: Minimum 72 hours
Signature Cakes: Minimum 5–7 days
Custom Celebration Cakes: 1–3 weeks
Holiday Orders: Order early as availability is limited.
Rush orders may be accepted based on availability and are subject to a rush fee.
Payment
A 50% non-refundable retainer is required for all custom cake orders over $100.
Orders under $100 require payment in full at the time the order is placed.
Orders are not confirmed until payment has been received.
The remaining balance is due before pickup or delivery.
Changes & Cancellations
Because each order is made specifically for you, all payments and retainers are non-refundable.
Changes to flavors, colors, inscriptions, or designs must be requested at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup date.
Requests for changes received after this time may not be accommodated.
Pickup
Pickup is available by appointment only.
Please arrive during your scheduled pickup window.
If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible.
Orders not picked up within 24 hours without prior communication may be considered abandoned and will not be refunded.
Delivery
Local delivery is available for an additional fee.
Delivery fees are based on location.
Once an order has been delivered and accepted, Southern Sweets is no longer responsible for damage caused by improper handling, transportation, or storage.
Cake Care
To ensure the best quality:
Refrigerate cakes until 1–2 hours before serving unless otherwise instructed.
Transport cakes on a flat, level surface.
Keep cakes away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
Store pastries and desserts according to the instructions provided at pickup.
Design Policy
We welcome inspiration photos and design ideas.
However, every cake and dessert is handcrafted, and exact replicas cannot be guaranteed.
Our goal is to create a beautiful custom dessert inspired by your vision while showcasing our own craftsmanship.
Allergen Notice
Our products are prepared in a home kitchen that also processes:

Tree Nuts
While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Please notify us of any food allergies before placing your order.
Georgia Cottage Food Notice
Southern Sweets operates under the Georgia Cottage Food Program.
Products are prepared in a home kitchen that has not been inspected by the Georgia Department of Public Health.
Some products may not be available under Georgia Cottage Food regulations and may require preparation in a licensed commercial kitchen.
Photography
Southern Sweets reserves the right to photograph completed cakes and desserts for marketing, social media, and portfolio purposes.
